ARNOLD'S PARK/ BACK IN 62'

      

         The year was 1962-July 30 to be exact. I actually wrote a post card to my mom and sister, Deborah, while in Arnold's Park with class-mates and business partners's,Ben Wunn, and Tracy Miiller, in our painting company. For what it's worth the post card was 3 cents. It was addressed to Mrs. May Laverty, Laurel, Iowa and no zip code at that time.

Dear Mom and Deborah,

       Just arrived at Arnold's Park about 5:30. Saw the Miss Iowa Pageant at the Surf last night. Had to stay at Mason City. See Freddy Canyon**(Freddy Cannon) tomorrow night at this place(Roof Garden) Having a good time. Love, Dennis
