THE BEST SWEET CORN I KNOW!

      Sweet corn is like a Chevrolet or Ford. Everybody has a favorite. Right? Yesterday while in Marshalltown I stopped at my favorite Sweet Corn stand, Long's, in front of K Mart on South Center Street. All I have to do is feel the ears to know that they are filled out and that I will not be disappointed.  Ilah went to visit a friend out of town and I had  to struggle through the evening meal without her. I made it somehow with two delicious ears of Long's best with melted Prize of Iowa butter, a toss salad with crumbed blue cheese and Olive Garden Italian dressing, topped off with a baked pork chop! My oh my!
