One reason I love listening to oldies' music that is piped in overhead at the Burg Grocery is the good memories it triggers. One great example the other day was when a song by Chi Coltrane--"Thunder & Lightning" early 1970's was played.
It immediately took me to Las Vegas, Nevada at a time in those early 1970's with my wife, Sandi. That song was being played while having a "drink" at the cocktail lounge in Caesar's Palace.
The bar area there was a replica of an old wooden ship complete with masts. It also moved side to side and depicted rolling in the ocean or water. I will never forget that feeling standing there listening to that song. Despite the fact that we were divorced later, it still triggers a very good and warm memory!
