GRAND MARAIS, MINNESOTA/ BEST SMALL TOWN

       There was an article this past week put out by the Smithsonian.com of the best 20 small towns in America. On the list was one town from Iowa-Spencer and all the reasons why.

      One of mine on the list that I have visited was Grand Maraiis, Minnesota. On a trip a few years ago up the beautiful northern shore of Lake Superior. Grand Maraiis sets on the Lake and unaffected like over commercialized towns such as Galena, Illinois. It has a feel of a small town in Maine with a beautiful clear blue water bay adjacent.
