ESTES PARK GETAWAY day 1

      I arrived here in Scotts Bluff, Nebraska last night and am getting ready to head out to Scotts Bluff National Monument just southwest of town. Also, drove near the Chimney Rock late yesterday afternoon. Went through the whole gamete of weather coming out yesterday from Williamsburg, Iowa.

        I went through rain, rain, rain, and more rain. Then heavy fog followed up with snow showers. Through Nebraska the temp dropped to 34 degrees from low 50's and back up to 60 degrees by the time I arrived in Scotts Bluff. 

        This morning, Sunday May 21, 2017, it is sunny, cool and hopefully the weather will co-operate today while driving to Estes. No matter the weather I just love this part of the country. Not only the Sand Hills and am so excited about viewing those Rockies. It never gets tiring!
