BRING YOUR BEST DISH TO LAUREL REUNION

        This year will be the first time in many a Blue Moon that the Laurel Alumni Reunion will be hosted with a Pot Luck and not professionally catered. I am encouraging anyone attending or if you know of anyone going to bring their best. This could be the best food fest that the Reunion has had for a long time and no disrespect intended to those who have catered.

         One of my fondest memories is remembering the "Spread" at the Federated Women's Club Picnic held at the Newton Park as a kid. This picnic was an annual event put on by the above Club in Laurel that my mother belonged to. Going around the many picnic tables and looking at all the great food was a highlight. It was almost as exciting  as actually swimming in the Maytag pool after lunch!
