STATE FAIR/BIGGEST SINGLE DAY CROWD EVER?

       I just caught the Des Moines Register this AM, Monday August 14, 2017, and saw where the attendance for Saturday, which I attended, was a little over 120,000! Something told me while I was there that the crowd was one of the biggest ever. I have been to too many of these fairs and you get to "have a feeling" as to the size of the crowds. 

        Next year I may wait for an off day like a Tuesday or Thursday and hope it is raining for a smaller crowd.  On the other hand, it is a delight to sit along the Grand Concourse and just watch all the people. I do love it so!
