WALLEYE @ LINCOLN CAFE-YUM!

        Late yesterday afternoon, Friday, 03/02/2018, I drove over to Belle Plaine, Iowa, and went to the Lincoln Cafe for their popular "Walleye-All You Can Eat-Special!" A year ago, someone told me about their Special and I thought it was just around Easter/Lent. No! They offer this year round.

        If you love fish, and especially Walleye, you might consider a drive to this top rated family/ comfort food eatery. The lightly battered generous pieces are the best I have had since enjoying cod at the Knights of Columbus  Fish Fries during Lent in Marshalltown, Iowa many years ago. 

          I arrived downtown Belle Plaine around 5:15 PM and came very close to having to wait in line on arriving. The place was packed. Besides being able to have all you want with the Walleye, any side dish you choose is always very good and fresh. They have plenty of experienced help so the service is always prompt and the owners are right there chipping in and helping with serving the meals and cleaning tables.

           For the best of "Comfort Food" this is a place to give strong consideration. I love most types of eating from Mexican, Oriental, and Italian, but, it's nice to know you can still find an eatery that just serves it up  like times gone by!
