YOU KNOW YOU'RE OLD WHEN!

       This past Sunday I attended an auction in Tama, Iowa. One of the items being bid on was an original print of Alf Landon as the Govenor of Kansas. There were six or seven other types of prints that were of interest. 

      Most of the other prints were bid on and bought before this one of Landon. I knew that he had run for President at some time, but, just could not remember when. A lady looked him up on her smart phone and sure enough he ran against Franklin D. Roosevelt back in the 1940's. 

        Maybe if more of the younger crowd at the auction would have known that and its historical significance, it may have got better attention? Sometimes it feels good to know something that others don't, but, on the other hand it reminds one of your age!
