KRNT THEATER DAD WAS USHER

        Last week, I talked to a lady at the Burg Grocery and found out that her father had been an usher at the old KRNT Theater in Des Moines, Iowa. It was the place that I fell in love with Broadway musicals and to be specific it was the "Music Man" that got me started. She indicated that when everyone was seated her dad, on occasion, would seat her just before the show started. I only wish I would have taken her name as her dad is still living in the area in a nursing home.
