REMEMBERING HEEL CLIPS!

    A fella came into the Burg Grocery this past week and I heard this "clicking" sound coming from his shoes as he walked. I asked him if he had "heel clips" attached to the heels of his shoes. Yes he did and the reason was because it kept his shoes from wearing in and forced him to walk straighter due to a childhood accident that affected his leg.

      It reminded me of a time in the 1950's and early 60's when some boys, and at one time yours truly, wore these clips on their shoes just to be "cool!" I think it was something that was popularized by the "bad boy crowd" but, was still one of those little crazes back then that came and quickly vanished.
