THE WORLD IS A TUXEDO AND I'M A --!

      It seems like recently while watching news casts on TV, the anchormen are all wearing these expensive brown shoes with their dark suits. When I was younger, you wore dark shoes with a dark suit and usually brown shoes with casual attire. Of course Dave Letterman wore loafers with white socks!!

     For some reason the other day after watching a certain news show, it reminded me of an old comedian by the name of George Gobel. He was short, wore a flat top and very unassuming.

      He was on Johnny Carson one night and did a bit where his punch line was: "The world is a tuxedo and I'm just a pair of brown shoes." Of course, it cracked Carson up! Believe me at the time it was funny!!
