GOOD MORNING SOUNDS RIGHT!

It dawned on me recently that when someone comes into the Burg Grocery, I usually greet them with a "Good Morning!" However, once it becomes afternoon, I usually greet someone with simply a "Hi, Hello, Hey", but, not a Good Afternoon."

For some reason saying "good afternoon" seems awkward to me. If they are leaving, I might say have a good afternoon or if it around 4 o'clock or so I may or usually will say "Have a good evening." One thing I don't like to hear is "have a good one." I know I can be old school, but, that sounds like you are being just lazy. Thus, the lesson in greeting techniques is ended! Either way "have a nice day!"
