DINING ON THE WAPSIPINICON w/ GRANT WOOD!

      We're headed to The General Store this week-end just west of Anamosa in Stone City. The building was built in 1897 and immortalized by Grant Wood's painting "Stone City, Iowa." 

      We went there last fall and totally enjoyed a lovely afternoon out on a deck looking out over the river while watching several kayak enthusiasts going down stream. If you have never ventured over, down, or up to this little known fall destination give it a try. You will not be disappointed.
