ANOTHER SIGN YOU'RE OUT WEST

Recently I drove through the Sand Hill area of western Nebraska and viewed the Chimney Rock National Monument near Scotts Bluff, Nebraska. This is a famous land mark used by those on the Oregon Trail.

I was quickly reminded that I was somewhere other than Iowa when I got out of my car and attempted to view the Chimney Rock a little closer at a nearby parking lot. There was several signs that warned  that if you got off the sidewalk and wandered out into the prairie--rattlesnakes might be encountered! Yup! Another sign I was out west. I loved it!
