PRICE OF WALLEYE-WOW!

     This past Thanksgiving eve, I dined at one of my favorite seafood restaurants in West Des Moines-The Waterfront Seafood Market. I always start with my favorite Oyster Stew which is outstanding at this local seafood eatery. 

      My big shock and surprise was the price of another favorite--pan fried walleye. The sticker price had risen to $28.95 since my last visit. I settled for trout amandine at just a shade over $20. 
If I want to have walleye I will go to Hy-Vee, buy it fresh and then make it at home or I better go out and find a couple more part time jobs!
