BUDDY HOLLY GREAT TRIVIA!

           One thing that I really enjoyed about the performance at the Old Creamery Theatre was the group bringing up Trivia through Buddy Holly's career. One that I had forgotten, as did much of the audience, was that Dion and the Belmonts, a popular group then and later, also performed with Holly at the Surf Ballroom in Clear Lake, Iowa. 

          Also, the fact that Waylon Jennings was supposed to have flown on that plane but gave up his seat for one of the other performers who was ill with a bad cold and wanted to get to the next city faster. The Day the Music Died!
